Retractable badge holders, aka Badge Reels, are a popular way to hold and display an ID card. The retractable cord allows the ID card to be pulled out to arms length to present to an access door reader or security staff. The cord will then self retract. The strap can be put through any common ID badge holder or directly through a slotted ID badge. The strap clip is attached to either a belt, shirt, purse or other clothing by way of belt clip, alligator clip, spring clip, pin, or other attachment on the back of the retractable badge holder.
