HID© Proximity Cards and Fobs

Ordering the correct HID proximity card programming is difficult, but Easy Badges can help! If you are unsure of the compatible programming needed, but have ordered HID cards in the past, the best place to start is your old box of cards. On all HID card box’s the information needed is printed on the narrow end of the box. You will need the PART NUMBER, FORMAT, FACILITY CODE, & CARD RANGE for reordering. The most common HID format is H10301. If that is your format, go ahead and place the order online with unique card ranges. You will likely want to keep your facility code the same as your previous order though this doesn’t always matter for all systems. Be sure to order a different card range so you do not get duplicate cards. That way each employee can be assigned one unique card number. The format, facility code, and card range information can be added to the “Order Notes” section on the checkout page. If you do not have the old HID box, contact us for assistance or a free test card to test compatibility. If you are using a format that is not H10301, we can still provide the cards, but we must contact us for pricing.

The format in which a card is programmed is determined by the data pattern that will be compatible with the access control panel. All HID credentials (card, fobs, tags, etc.) can be programmed with the standard 26-bit card data format. The Standard 26-bit Format is an Open Format. An Open Format means that anyone can buy HID cards in a specific format and that specific format description is publicly available. The 26-bit format is a widely used industry standard and is available to all customers. Almost all access control systems accept the standard 26-bit format however, some systems may be locked down to a non 26 bit card. The HID ordering code number for the Standard 26-bit format is H10301. H10301 has 255 possible facility codes from one to 255. There can be up to 65,535 card ID numbers, from one to 65,535, per facility code. If this is not your format, no worries, contact us for a quote for your compatible cards or request a test card.
