Logos and ArtWork File Formats

If you order custom products such as ID cards, lanyards, and holders, we require logo and graphic files be transmitted in the file formats listed below.
Acceptable file types are listed below in order of our preference:
Adobe InDesign INDD (packaged in font and links)
Adobe Illustrator Ai (type converted to outlines or all fonts included)
Adobe PDF (type converted to outlines or all fonts included)
EPS (type converted to outlines or all fonts included)
In rare cases, raster files with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI are acceptable. Web or screen-resolutions JPEG, PNG, and GIF images are usually not acceptable for printing due to quality.
Artwork Bleed
We require that all artwork files have a 0.125 (1/8″) bleed on all sides. This allows your custom products to look their best with full edge-to-edge printing.
Color Matching
Please include all PMS color codes with your artwork file when possible. Our standard printing process for all non-screen-printed products is four-color-process. When it is possible, wecan closely match a PMS color. Metallic and neon PMS colors are not reliable though we will get as close as possible. For screen-printed products such as lanyards, we can always closely match the links to the specific PMS color. Lanyard thread colors are woven for stock and we will be glad to custom-weave a color for lanyard orders of 5,000 or more pieces.
Variable Data Guidelines
When submitting individuals data for a large personalized ID card order, we accept Microsoft™ XLSX or XLS (Excel) file formats. Each field that is to be printed should be a specific column and row. If indivduals photos are to be included with your order, there must be a column in the data spreadsheet naming each photo by number. A folder with all digital photos must be sent to us when you are ready to order.
Order Production Time
Production and delivery time for custom orders of 5,000 pieces or less is typically 14 calendar days after proof
approval. This applies to most of the items in this catalog. Faster production times are available for a small up
charge on some items (rush fees may apply.) Plain or Quick Ship items are typically available in less than 14
calendar days.
Proofing
For custom orders, up to two digital PDF proofs are included at no charge. Additional proofs (after 2) with changes or additions may incur a small fee. We will always notify you first if a charge will occur. Press-proofs or pre-production samples are available. A small fee may be incurred for time and shipping.
Returns, Replacements, Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, we will do our best to make it right. Please note our return
policies below for custom ID products:
All returns require prior authorization and an RMA number issued by our customer service team. For custom
printed orders, we can only accept returns for items that are determined to be of poor quality and the item is
reported to us within ten working days of delivery. Plain (non-customized) items that you wish to exchange will
incur a restocking fee equal to 15% of the item price. In order to qualify for exchange, an RMA number must
be issued to you and the product must be unopened and without damage.
