Delta 6.4 Sector Farpointe Data Contactless Smartcard Reader & Keypad

The Delta 6.4 contactless smartcard reader is from Farpointe Data’s Delta Series, which is at the top of its class when it comes to 13.56 MHz frequency line of contactless smartcard readers, tags, and cards. The superior Delta 6.4 reader supports the proven MIFARE® and DESFire® EV1 contactless digital radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and will read up to 2 inches away. The Delta 6.4 belongs to the Delta series which complies with the Wiegand communication protocol therefore is equipped to handle many and most electronic access control systems. The Delta6.4 Sector supports both CSN (Card Serial Number) and Sector data. Also, supports the reading of CSN on FIPS201 [PIV Type A & B], TWIC, and CAC credentials and reading of certain credentials making use of ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 compliant protocols.

The Delta 6.4 offers features such as MAXSecure™ (Integrated High-Security Technology) and ValidID™ (Fraudulent Data Detection Solution). The Delta 6.4 is ideal for higher security applications that require both a card and a PIN with its back-lit keypad for additional security.  In addition to those features the Delta 6.4 contactless smartcard readers are passive devices which in turn eliminates maintenance by requiring zero batteries.

Uses the US single-gang wall-box mount. The Delta 6.4 includes a black snap-on cover as well as a back-lit key pad for visibility.

Also available in model Delta6.4 CSN which supports CSN-only reading of credentials making use of ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 compliant protocols.
