DTC White Ribbon Cartridge w/Cleaning Roller – 1000 Images, for FARGO DTC1000 and DTC4000 printers.

This ribbon will print 1000 cards on one side, or 500 cards on both sides.  This is a White ribbon.  This ribbon is typically used when printing white text over preprinted graphics on a card or on a dark colored plastic card.  If you wish to print full color on the front of the cards and black only on the back of the cards, look for a YMCKOK ribbon such as the MH-45110 ribbon.

This ribbon is not used in conjunction with yellow and blue ribbons to print full color cards.  A YMCK ribbon must be used to print full color cards.

This ribbon is not necessary to have white text on a card you are printing in full color on white plastic.  Most card design software will allow you to do white text on a dark band of color by simply not printing where the text is located.  This ribbon would only be used if the cards were made of a dark colored plastic or if they were already preprinted with dark graphics and you wanted white text over the preprinted portion of the card.
