The HID 3000PGGMV iCLASS® SIO-Enabled (iCLASS SE) smartcards are part of the next-generation iCLASS SE access control platform and open ecosystem based on HID’s Trusted Identity Platform (TIP) architecture for advanced applications, mobility and heightened security.
iCLASS was specifically designed to make access control more powerful, more versatile, and more secure, with encryption for all radio frequency data transmission between the credential and reader using a secure algorithm. iCLASS SE extends this technology by providing additional key diversification, authentication, encryption and portability for advanced security and performance.
HID’s iCLASS SE 13.56 MHz read/write contact-less smart card technology can be used for diverse applications such as physical access control, PC logon, biometric verification, time and attendance, cashless vending, public transportation, airline ticketing and customer loyalty programs.
The 3000PGGMV iCLASS® smart card meets ISO standard for card size and thickness for use with direct image and thermal transfer printers. It features a graphics quality surface optimized for Photo ID printing, and is available in standard PVC construction for more demanding high wear and tear environments. The smart card can be produced with visual security and anti-counterfeiting features such as holograms, ultra-violet fluorescent inks, micro-printing, or a custom logo to quickly and easily identify genuine smart cards.
The HID 3000 part number series is HID’s most popular iCLASS SE card type. The last number in the part number dictates the iCLASS memory size. In this case, the last “0” indicates a 2k bits (256 Bytes) card with 2 application areas.
The PGGMV portion of the part number is called the configuration. Each letter gives information on how the card looks or features of the card. Here is a brief overview of what each letter means in the configuration. See the 3000 Ordering Guide PDF in the Documents and Downloads tab for the full details.
