Best yet, the Magicard Rio Pro Xtended printer is the least expensive event badge printer that will print plastic cards larger than the standard CR80 PVC card size.

The Rio Pro Xtended adds almost 1 inch of full color print area over the standard Rio Pro printer by using a double print mode. The event badge printer will use two passes of ribbon to print your extra large badge. If even larger cards are needed, the print area can be increased over an inch more by using a black monochrome ribbon instead of a full color print.

A standard ID card size is 3.370 inches wide and 2.12 inches high.

The Rio Pro Xtended  can print event badges that have a:

Full color print area of 4.33 x 2.12 in
Full color print area of 4.33x 2.12 but can accept a 5.51 card with a preprinted area
Monochrome black print area of 5.51 x 2.12 in

The Rio Pro Xtended also features Holokote technology. HoloKote is a security watermark can be printed across the card surface without any need for additional supplies. This feature is a great substitute over more expensive laminating printer options. A choice of 4 generic HoloKote images and 1 generic HoloKote Flex (“Flexible” image placement) designs are selectable from the printer driver. For added security, the Custom HoloKote option (ordered separately) enables customization of the watermark to a custom logo or security image of your choice.
