P-405-A Farpointe Data Guardian Proximity Reader and Keypad
The P-405-A Proximity Reader is from Farpointe Data’s Guardian vandal-resistant Series, which is physically the most solid and toughest when it comes to 125-kHz proximity readers, tags, and cards. The durable and secure P-405-A reader uses the proven radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and will read up to 5 inches away. The P-405-A is ideal for schools,inner-city environments, correctional facilities, or sites where heavy machinery is operated. The P-405-A complies with the Wiegand communication protocol therefore is equipped to handle many and most electronic access control systems. The P-405-A offers features such as MAXSecure (Integrated High-Security Technology) and fleaPower (Energy-Conservation Technology). In addition to those features the P-405-A Proximity Readers are passive devices which in turn eliminates maintenance by requiring zero batteries.
The entire P-405 Guardian vandal-resistant series readers are manufactured from thick polycarbonate material, have epoxy potted electronics, and come standard with tamperproof screws. The P-405-A uses the US single-gang wall switch box mount. The P-405-A has a lifetime warranty and comes in only black.
All of the P-405 Models, which you can find below, will offer the above features as well. The one thing that the P-405-A offers that the others do not is full support for Pyramid cards and tags, as well as select AWID 125-kHz Prox Cards and Tags.
