P-640-A Farpointe Data Patagonia Proximity Reader and Keypad
The P-640-A Proximity Reader is from Farpointe Data’s Pyramid Series, which is at the top of its class when it comes to 125-kHz proximity readers, tags, and cards. The superior P-640-A reader uses the proven radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and will read up to 7 inches away. The P-640-A is ideal for higher security applications that require both a card and a PIN with its back-lit keypad for additional security. The P-640-A belongs to the Pyramid series which complies with the Wiegand communication protocol therefore is equipped to handle many and most electronic access control systems. The P-640-A offers features such as MAXSecure (Integrated High-Security Technology) and fleaPower (Energy-Conservation Technology). In addition to those features the P-640-A Proximity Readers are passive devices which in turn eliminates maintenance by requiring zero batteries.
Uses the US single-gang wall-box mount. The P-640-A includes both white and black snap-on covers as well as a back-lit key pad for visibility.
All of the P-640 Models, which you can find below, will offer the above features as well. The one thing that the P-640-A offers that the others do not is full support for Pyramid cards and tags, as well as select AWID 125-kHz Prox Cards and Tags.
