The Farpointe WRT-2+S1 is part of the Farpointe Data Ranger® Long-Range Series of readers & credentials. Farpointe is a popular OEM manufacturer of access door readers and credentials. Your current WRT-2+S1 may be under a different brand name. The Farpointe WRT-2+S1 UHF long range wireless radio transmitter is a 2 button device for use from up to 200 feet. Along with the ultra high frequency(UHF) for long range, the WRT-2+S1 is also equipped with a contactless smartcard 13.56 MHz module to allow the transmitter to be used as a close ranged credential at up to 3.5 inches. Transmitter buttons run on 433 MHz frequency along with the contanctless smartcard module for close range uses 13.56 MHz.
