HID’s iCLASS® 2050PNNMN 13.56 MHz read/write contactless smart card technology can be used for diverse applications such as access control, biometrics, cashless vending, public transportation, airline ticketing and customer loyalty programs. Multiple, securely separated files enable numerous applications and support future growth.

The iCLASS II Key FOB provides the convenience of iCLASS 13.56 MHz contactless read/write smart card in a molded plastic key fob enclosure that is durable in a harsh environment. This key fob is the size of a typical automotive key and offers custom artwork printing capabilities directly on the key fob credential. You now can offer a credential that can be placed on a key ring or lanyard for such diverse applications including access control, network log-on security, automotive vehicle identification, cashless vending, time and attendance, and biometric verification.

The HID 200X part number series is HID’s most popular iClass card/Fob type. The last number in the part number dictates the iClass memory size.  In this case, the last “0” indicates a 2k bits (256 Bytes) card with 2 application areas.

The PNNMN portion of the part number is called the configuration. Each letter gives information on how the card looks or features of the card. Here is a brief overview of what each letter means in the configuration.

P – Programming:Programmed iCLASS standard access control application only
N – Front Packaging: iCLASS Key II – Black with blue insert. Includes HID Standard Artwork
N – Back Packaging: None
M – Key Numbering: Sequential Matching Encoded/Printed (Laser Engraved). The Engraved key number is placed on the back of the key.
